The Helena Senior Center offers older adults the opportunity to have lunch and participate and socialize in a friendly atmosphere. Located in the Neighborhood Center (200 South Cruse Avenue), the Helena Senior Center is an active and positive place to spend time, whether you are participating in scheduled events or just relaxing in the parlor!
Often it is the meeting place for programs on senior issues and gathering places for groups who advocate for senior issues. Our Center may host health screenings, income tax assistance, and assistance with Medicare or Medicaid issues. Our Helena Senior Center also provides exercise, writing, craft or art classes and group games such as bingo, pinochle and bridge.
The Helena Senior Center is open 8:30 am -3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Daily Dinner Club
Noontime meals are provided in each community’s Senior Center. Menus differ among these Daily Dinner Clubs. For example, the Helena Daily Dinner Club offers a full salad bar at most meals. A registered dietician helps to create well-rounded meals. Kitchen staff work to prepare “home-cooked” entrées.
Rocky’s Senior Nutrition Program provides a nutritious meal Monday through Friday in the following communities: Helena, Augusta, Lincoln, Townsend, Whitehall, and in Boulder on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
For individuals who are 60 and older, there is a suggested donation of $5.00 (effective July 1, 2019) for meals. We invite family and friends to join seniors at these meals.
