Area IV Agency on Aging is part of a nationwide and state network that was created to fulfill the obligations of the 1965 Older Americans Act.

Area IV Service Area
Area IV Agency on Aging programs address the needs and concerns of older Montanans and adults with disabilities in Broadwater, Gallatin, Jefferson, Lewis & Clark, Meagher, and Park Counties.
There are Agency on Aging offices and services available throughout Montana.
Every Area Agency on Aging is required to have an advisory council, comprised primarily of older persons, to review and comment on all programs affecting the elderly at the community level. Area IV’s Agency on Aging Advisory Council minutes are available upon request.
RMDC’s Area IV Agency on Aging provides an array of services for people 60+ and those under 60 with a disability. These services include:
- Information and Assistance/State Health Insurance Counselors
- Ombudsmen/Advocates for Assisted Living and Nursing Home Residents
Area IV Agency on Aging also provides support for:

- Networking with Other Organizations and Agencies
