Home Buyer Education Mission Statement
To provide Home Buyer Education to the population of Lewis and Clark County and surrounding areas in conjunction with HUD, MBOH, NeighborWorks Montana and numerous partners to assist first time home buyers in achieving home ownership.
Rocky Mountain Development Council is one of many community partners sponsoring a great class to help individuals in Broadwater, Jefferson, and Lewis & Clark County prepare to be savvy home buyers.
Successful completion of this class may be a prerequisite for assistance through or in conjunction with other RMDC Housing and Development programs.

Rocky Mountain Development Council Home Buyer Education Program
Rocky Mountain Development Council offers a monthly Homebuyer Education class. The purpose of the class is to teach potential homeowners about the process of purchasing a home.
Homebuyer Education classes provide in-depth information on many aspects of homeownership including:
- Finding a home
- Choosing a lender/closing on a loan
- Homeowner’s insurance
- Home inspection & maintenance
- Energy savings
Instructors: Rocky Mountain Development Council depends on an array of experts, from areas of homeownership, to give presentations throughout the class.
Cost and Registration: You will be asked to complete the RMDC Home Buyer Education Class intake form, pay a class fee of $35.00 (plus $20 for each additional family member attending) and sign up for a 45 minute intake appointment at least two weeks prior to the class date.

Childcare: Our classroom is not suitable for children. Please arrange for your own child care during the class.
Location: The Rocky Mountain Development Council Homebuyer Education classes are located in Dining Room at the Neighborhood Center 200 South Cruse, Helena.
