Kids’ Feed N’ Fun
Rocky Mountain Development Council sponsors a Kids’ Feed N’ Fun program to bring free nutritious meals to children through the summer months when school lunch programs are not operating.
Currently, Rocky Mountain Development Council provides free nutritious meals to children in Lincoln, Townsend, and Augusta in the summer. Start and end dates vary from community to community. Once the program is underway, meals are distributed as follows:Â
Augusta Youth Center, Augusta
Breakfast 8:30 & Lunch 12:00
Monday – Friday
Heritage Fun Park, Townsend
Lunch 12:30
Monday – Friday
Lincoln School, Lincoln
Breakfast 8:15 & Lunch 11:15
Monday – Thursday
The Feed N’ Fun program is partially funded through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program. Federal funds are distributed from the USDA to the Office of Public Instruction, who then contracts with RMDC to run the program. USDA funding is supplemented by RMDC through Community Service Block Grant money.
Sites for the summer food program must follow USDA guidelines and be approved.
